Golf Simulator
Cost Index 2026
Every dollar figure on this page was captured from an accessible manufacturer or retailer page, with the source linked. Where a price is login-gated or unpublished, we say UNPUBLISHED instead of guessing. Free CSV included.
"How much does a golf simulator cost" is not the same question as "what does the launch monitor cost." In the two build subtotals composed entirely of reusable verified CSV rows, the launch monitor was only 31% to 45% of first-year cost: $1,330 for the garage net build and $6,444 for the dedicated projector room. The $21,946 premium bay is a scenario model, not a fully verified dataset subtotal, because its $1,699 mat and $3,799 PC proxy are not present as individual sourced rows in the downloadable CSV. The second headline is subscription creep: at current published rates, five years of simulator software adds roughly $400 to $3,000 on top of the hardware, enough to equal a second entry-level launch monitor.

| Commercial | Foresight GCQuad | $11,999.00 | Sale, from $15,999 | Foresight |
| Commercial | TrackMan iO | $13,995.00 | Starting price | TrackMan |
Tier medians from the verified list: Budget $599.99, Mid $1,499.99, Premium $4,749.50, Commercial $11,999. The market is compressed at the bottom: three credible units sit at or under $600, and the mid-tier median is only about 2.5x the budget median. The real price cliff is premium-to-commercial, where overhead camera systems push the unit alone past $10,000.
The Forgotten Costs (Everything That Isn't the Launch Monitor)
The component stack around the launch monitor can exceed the launch monitor itself in budget and mid builds. Verified ranges by category (every individual row and source is in the CSV):
| Category | Verified Range | Cheapest Verified Row | Premium Verified Row |
|---|---|---|---|
| Impact screens | from $179.95 to $599.99 | Carl's Place screens from $179.95 | SkyTrak Stretch Screen $449.99 to $599.99 |
| Enclosures / bays | $1,149.95 to $3,495.00 | Carl's DIY kit w/ screen $1,149.95+ | SkyTrak enclosure $2,995 to $3,495 |
| Hitting mats | $49.99 to $699.99 | Spornia Tri-Turf $49.99 | SIGPRO Super Softy 4x6 $699.99 |
| Projectors | $949.00 to $2,199.00 | BenQ TH671ST $949 | BenQ TK710STi 4K $2,199 |
| Flooring / protection | $59.95 to $1,199.99 | Putting turf w/ return $59.95 | SIG10 Flooring Turf $1,199.99 |
| Nets | $199.99 to $895.00 | Spornia SPG-5 $199.99 | Net Return Pro Series $895 |
A net-and-mat garage build keeps the surround under about $800. A real projector bay adds roughly $1,000 to $2,200 for projection, $2,000 to $3,500 for the enclosure, and another $300 to $1,200 for flooring and protection before any software or PC. Buyers who budget only for the launch monitor find this out at checkout.
Subscription Creep: 5-Year Software Cost by Ecosystem
| Ecosystem | Verified Annual | 5-Year Total | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Uneekor Player | $0 (included) | $0 | Uneekor |
| Blue Tees GAME AI + LAUNCH | $79.99/yr | $399.95 | Blue Tees |
| SkyTrak Essential | $90/yr | $450 | SkyTrak |
| Uneekor Pro | $199/yr | $995 | Uneekor |
| SkyTrak Core (FS / TM) | $225 / $270/yr | $1,125 / $1,350 | SkyTrak |
| GSPro Version 3 | $250/yr | $1,250 | GSPro |
| Uneekor Champion | $399/yr | $1,995 | Uneekor |
| SkyTrak Elite | $450/yr | $2,250 | SkyTrak |
| Uneekor Ultimate | $599/yr | $2,995 | Uneekor |
| Rapsodo MLM2PRO Premium | UNPUBLISHED | UNPUBLISHED | Rapsodo |
| E6 Connect | UNPUBLISHED (login-gated) | UNPUBLISHED | E6 |
| Garmin simulator subscription | UNPUBLISHED | UNPUBLISHED | Garmin |
Five years of software runs from $0 (Uneekor's included tier) to nearly $3,000 (Uneekor Ultimate), with GSPro's popular $250/yr license totaling $1,250. Software can quietly equal or exceed the price of an entry-level launch monitor, and three major ecosystems (Rapsodo Premium, E6 Connect, Garmin) do not expose their subscription price in accessible public text at all.
Three Sourced Build Models
These are budget models, not recommendations. Builds A and B sum verified price rows from the CSV and disclose excluded costs. Build C is retained as an explicitly modeled premium scenario: four inputs are reusable verified CSV rows, while the $1,699 mat and $3,799 PC proxy are scenario inputs that lack individual source rows in this edition. Do not cite Build C as a fully verified subtotal.
| Build | Components | Verified First-Year Subtotal | Launch Monitor Share |
|---|---|---|---|
| A. Garage net build | Rapsodo MLM2PRO $599.99 + Spornia SPG-7 net $349.99 + Spornia Academy mat $379.99, phone as display | $1,329.97 (software UNPUBLISHED) | 45.1% |
| B. Dedicated projector room | SkyTrak ST+ $1,995 + SIG10 enclosure $1,999.99 + SIGPRO mat $699.99 + Optoma GT2400HDR $1,199 + floor mount $299.99 + GSPro $250 | $6,443.97 (PC excluded pending a verified quote) | 31.0% |
| C. Premium bay (modeled) | Foresight GCQuad $11,999 + SIG10 enclosure $1,999.99 + Fiberbuilt 10x4 studio mat $1,699 (scenario input) + BenQ TK710STi $2,199 + sim-PC proxy $3,799 (scenario input) + GSPro $250 | $21,945.99 modeled | 54.7% modeled |
Citable Findings
1. The launch monitor is usually not most of the budget. In the garage build it is 45% of verified first-year cost; in the dedicated room it drops to 31%. Only the premium commercial bay pushes the unit past half. Anyone budgeting "launch monitor price plus a little extra" for a projector room is roughly 3x under.
2. Subscription creep is real and partially hidden. Verified five-year software costs run $400 to $2,995 by ecosystem, and three major ecosystems publish no accessible subscription price at all. The cheapest hardware tier (Rapsodo, Blue Tees, Garmin) is also where subscription pricing is least transparent.
3. The budget tier is compressed; the commercial cliff is not. Median verified prices: $600 budget, $1,500 mid, $4,750 premium, $11,999 commercial. Bottom-to-mid is a 2.5x step; premium-to-commercial is where cost triples.

Methodology
Compiled July 2026. Rules: (1) every reusable verified price row was captured from an accessible manufacturer or retailer page on the capture date shown in the CSV, with the URL recorded; (2) login-gated, JavaScript-hidden, or absent prices are marked UNPUBLISHED rather than filled from memory or dealer chatter; (3) sale prices are used when that is what the page exposes, and noted as such; (4) Builds A and B sum only verified CSV rows and identify excluded costs; Build C is explicitly modeled because its $1,699 mat and $3,799 PC proxy are not present as individual sourced rows in this edition; (5) prices are pre-tax and pre-shipping.
