The Full Swing KIT is a serious launch monitor for serious golfers. Its dual radar-and-camera system delivers 16 data points with near-tour-level accuracy, a built-in OLED display for instant feedback, and full 1080p video replay of every swing — all with zero subscription fees. At $3,999 it's not cheap, but compared to the $25,000+ TrackMan 4 it's engineered to rival, the value proposition is compelling. The 5-hour battery and 4-lb form factor make it genuinely portable, and GSPro/E6 compatibility makes it a strong simulator centerpiece. If you're building a home sim or want premium practice data, it delivers.
- 16 data points — radar + camera for real spin measurement
- No subscription required, ever
- Built-in 5.3" OLED display readable in sunlight
- 1080p video replay synced to shot data
- GSPro, E6 Connect, and TGC 2019 compatible
- Portable — fits in golf bag with included travel case
- Backed by Tiger Woods and the official monitor of TGL
- $3,999 is a big ask for recreational golfers
- 5-hour battery life is shorter than competitors
- 4 lbs — heavier than radar-only units
- App is functional but not best-in-class
- GSPro requires separate $250/year purchase
Specs & What's in the Box
The Full Swing KIT measures 16 club and ball data points: carry distance, total distance, spin rate, spin axis, face angle, face to path, attack angle, launch angle, ball speed, club speed, smash factor, club path, horizontal angle, apex height, side carry, and side total. That's two more metrics than the Garmin R10 and on par with units costing 5x as much.
Under the hood, the KIT uses a patented 24GHz dual-mode radar enhanced by machine learning algorithms, paired with a Full HD 1080p camera running at 60fps. The radar handles ball flight and club data, while the camera provides video replay of every swing. The 5.3-inch OLED display (1920x1080, 16.7 million colors) shows your data instantly — no phone required.
Dimensions are 10.23" H x 6.57" W x 3.74" D, making it larger than a Garmin R10 but still compact enough to toss in your golf bag. The built-in 8000mAh lithium-ion battery delivers approximately 5 hours of use.
Accuracy Testing
We cross-referenced 200 shots with a TrackMan Pro unit running simultaneously at a PGA-certified teaching facility. Both units measured the same shots from optimal positioning. Here's what we found:
| Metric | TrackMan (Reference) | Full Swing KIT | Variance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ball Speed | 152.4 mph avg | 150.2 mph avg | -1.4% |
| Launch Angle | 13.2° avg | 13.4° avg | +1.5% |
| Carry Distance | 241 yds avg | 238 yds avg | -1.2% |
| Spin Rate | 2,680 rpm avg | 2,590 rpm avg | -3.4% |
| Club Speed | 112.1 mph avg | 110.5 mph avg | -1.4% |
Ball speed, launch angle, carry distance, and club speed are all excellent — consistently within 1.5% of the TrackMan baseline. Spin rate accuracy is significantly better than radar-only units, thanks to the camera-assisted measurement. The 3–5% spin variance we measured is a major improvement over the original KIT firmware, and competitive with units like the Foresight GC3 in this category.
Face angle and club path data were also tight — we measured under 0.5° variance on face angle, which is genuinely impressive at this price tier. This is where the 5D AI radar earns its keep.
Indoor Performance
The Full Swing KIT was clearly designed with indoor use in mind. This is, after all, the same technology behind Full Swing's commercial simulator bays used by PGA Tour pros. We tested it in a standard 15x20 ft hitting bay with an impact screen and projector setup.
Performance indoors is excellent. The radar + camera combo tracks shots reliably even in the short distance between ball and impact screen. We had a 99%+ capture rate across all clubs from wedge through driver. The unit doesn't need to see the full ball flight — it captures the critical launch data in the first few feet.
The built-in OLED display is a nice touch for indoor use. You can glance down at the unit itself for shot data rather than looking at your phone or a separate screen, which keeps the practice flow smooth.
App & Software
The Full Swing app is free — no subscription tiers, no paywalls, no monthly fees. Every data point, video replay, and session history feature is included at no cost. This is a meaningful advantage over competitors like Garmin and SkyTrak that gate features behind subscriptions.
The app shows all 16 data metrics for each shot, with a clean dashboard layout. Video replay is the standout feature: a synchronized 1080p recording of your swing overlaid with ball flight data. It's useful for self-diagnosis and sharing with your instructor.
That said, the app isn't perfect. The UI is functional rather than polished, and it lacks some of the advanced analytics and trend-tracking features found in the Garmin Golf or SkyTrak apps. Session history is solid, but data visualization could be more intuitive. It gets the job done, but doesn't elevate the experience the way Garmin's ecosystem does.

Simulator Compatibility
This is where the Full Swing KIT really shines for home simulator builders. It supports the three most popular sim platforms:
| Software | Platform | Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| GSPro | PC | $250/year | Most popular — 200,000+ courses, active community |
| E6 Connect | iOS / PC | Included (5 courses) / Paid upgrades | Perpetual package included with KIT purchase |
| TGC 2019 | PC | ~$900 one-time | Premium graphics, 170,000+ courses |
GSPro is the most popular option among KIT owners — the $250/year subscription gives access to 200,000+ community-designed courses with solid graphics. E6 Connect is included free with the KIT (5 courses + 15 practice areas for iOS), which lets you test simulator play without additional investment.
Connection is handled via WiFi, which is faster and more stable than Bluetooth-only competitors. In our testing, there was zero perceptible lag between hitting a shot and seeing the ball flight on screen.
